Raj Nidimoru and DK – Film Directors [Films: Shaadi.com, Flavors, 99 & Shor]

Students of Engg from Sri Venkateshwara University, they are US based filmmakers who worked with the Bollywood system to make something that was different and their movie 99 has made the top ten of every list of 2009. It got a rating of 4/5 stars from ‘The New York Times’ and their films have won awards at numerous prestigious international film festivals. They are presently in production for their next feature ‘Shor’. They had a coup with their lead casting for this film and roped in Senthil Ramamurthy, the principal star of NBC’s Heroes in Hollwyood.

Raj and DK represent a new generation of directors who are really bridging the Hollywood/Bollywood gap in the commercial film arena unlike the filmmakers of yesterday who could only make an impact in the west with their art films.

They are Mumbai based and often visit Hyderabad to help produce Telugu films and transform this industry as well.
